1. STANDARD TERMS

1.1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Participation in this Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. WHO CAN ENTER?

2.1. Subject to clause 2.2 entry is open to all residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years and above.

2.2. Employees and their immediate friends and families of GENERAL MOTORS AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND PTY LTD ABN 84 006 893 232 trading as ‘GM Specialty Vehicles (the “Promoter”), and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

3. HOW TO ENTER

3.1. The Competition commences on Thursday 18th July 2024 at 00:00AEST and concludes on Monday 29th July 2024 at 23:59AEST (the “Competition Period”).

3.2. In order to participate in the Competition, entrants must:

a) Log onto their Facebook account and follow @gmspecialtyvehicles (https://facebook.com/gmspecialtyvehicles/) and remain following the account until the end of the Competition Period;

b) View the Competition post on @gmspecialtyvehicles Facebook account

c) Like the post and tag another user in the post comments.

3.3. Entrants may only enter the Competition once throughout the Competition Period.

3.4. Entries must be received by Monday 29th July 23:59AEST.

4. PRIZES

4.1. There will be Five (5) Prize Winners (Winners) in total, with the Winners receiving the following Prize

4.2. The total prize pool value is $70.00. Prize value is correct as of 17th July 2024. The Promoter takes no responsibility for changes to Prize value.

4.3. Prize cannot be exchanged, transferred or traded for an alternative prize unless otherwise advised.

4.4. Prize does not include other associated costs to attend the Sydney Boat Show.

5. HOW TO WIN

5.1. There will be Five (5) Winners in total. Each entrant who has entered the Competition during the Competition Period in accordance with clause 3.2 will be entered into the random draw.

5.2. The random draw will be conducted by the Promoter at the end of the Competition Period to determine the Winners.

5.3. The Competition is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the prize winners.

5.4. Winners will be notified via Facebook direct message by the Promoter within two (2) business days.

5.5. The Promoter’s draw is final, and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.

5.6. The Winners will be required to respond to the Promoters’ direct message on Facebook to claim their Prize within 24 hours of being notified that they are a Winner. The Winner must provide their full address and email address to receive their prize. If the Winner fails to respond and accept the Prize within 24 hours of notification in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the Prize will be forfeited by the Winner. In the event the Prize is forfeited by a Winner, a new Winner will be drawn.

6. GENERAL

6.1. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Competition. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

6.2. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

6.3. If for any reason the Winner does not take and/or redeem a Prize at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the Prize will be forfeited.

7. FACEBOOK

7.1. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for the purpose of this Competition unless otherwise specified in these terms and conditions. Any questions, comments or complaints about this Competition must be directed to the Promoter and not to Facebook.

7.2. Entry and continued participation in the Competition is dependent on entrants following and acting in accordance with Facebook terms of use, which can be viewed at https://help.facebook.com/581066165581870.

7.3. This Competition adheres to the terms and conditions set out in the Facebook promotion guidelines which can be found at: https://help.facebook.com/179379842258600/.

7.4. All entrants unconditionally and irrevocably release and discharge Facebook from any and all liability in relation to this Competition.

8. NO LIABILITY

8.1. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, pandemic, COVID-19, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition, subject to regulatory authority.

8.2. The Promoter, and their associated agencies and companies affiliated with this Competition, will take no responsibility for the Prize damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.

9. PROMOTER’S DETAILS

9.1. The Promoter is GENERAL MOTORS AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND PTY LTD ABN 84 006 893 232 trading as ‘GM Specialty Vehicles’ of 80 Turner Street, Port Melbourne, VIC, 3207.

9.2. ‘GM Specialty Vehicles’ is collecting personal information from the Winner to enable identification of the winners and for marketing and promotional purposes for the Promoter. In addition to any required disclosures referred to in these Terms and Conditions, your personal information will be disclosed to the Promoter and their related bodies corporate for these purposes. The Promoter may disclose the Winner's personal information to other companies for the purpose of facilitating the delivery of the Prizes to the Winner. Where you provide us with personal information about another individual, you must have their consent to provide their personal information. No other use of this information will be made without your consent. If you do not provide your personal information, the Promoter will not be able to enter you into the Competition. Without limiting the foregoing, the Promoter may disclose the entrant’s personal information to its related entities, business partners and external service providers for research and profiling purposes as well as other purposes reasonably related to the entrant’s relationship with the Promoter.  In addition, by entering this Competition, you consent to the Promoter using your personal information for the purpose of the Promoter and its related entities sending you information regarding programs, products and services available through them and/ or through their business partners, and to the Promoter from time to time sharing your personal information with carefully selected business partners for the purpose of them sending you such information directly.  We will always provide you with the ability to opt out of those communications. https://www.gmspecialtyvehicles.com/privacypolicy
